1 Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest
1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.
1.2 Apologies were received from Jack Sargeant MS.
1.3 There were no declarations of interest.
2 Dentistry - evidence session with British Dental Association Wales and British Orthodontic Society
2.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of the British Dental Association Wales and the British Orthodontic Society.
2.2 Ben Lewis noted that information would be published in autumn 2022 in the British Dental Journal about the outcomes from a comprehensive NHS workforce survey that showed where in Wales orthodontic providers were located, and agreed to send a copy to the Committee once it was available.
2.3 Dan Cook agreed to provide information about average pay for general dentists, including any differences in pay among those who provide NHS services and those who provide private services.
3 Dentistry - evidence session with Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Age Cymru and Older People's Commissioner for Wales
3.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and Age Cymru, and the Older People's Commissioner for Wales.
